Mr Bill Pedersen of Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects best known for recent urban and tall building design in the USA and internationally including the World Bank Washington DC and the DG Bank Headquarters Frankfurt Germany.

Prof Dr Azman Awang is Executive Director of Institute Sultan Iskandar and has been involved in major urban planning studies notably Cyber City Malaysia.

Professor Peter Droege is the Professor of Urban Design, College of Sciences and Technology at the University of Sydney. He will discuss issues of sustainability critical to the future of cities.

Mr Robert Prieto is Chairman of Parsons Brinkerhoff Inc and an internationally recognised expert in the modernisation of rail transport systems.

Prof Nancy Millis is the Chancellor of Latrobe University and Emeritus Professor at The University of Melbourne with a special interest in water quality and conservation systems.

Mr Nic Boschler is a Melbourne based architect who has worked extensively in Shanghai, China with wide experience in cross-cultural exchange particularly relating to major buildings and urban landscapes.

Mr Deyan Sudjic is an architect, editor and critic whose fascination is the changing nature of the city and whose experience is in the reinterpretation of cities such as Glasgow.

Mr Christoph Ingenhoven of Ingenhoven Overdiek Und Ptr has particular interest and expertise in environmentally friendly tall buildings such as the headquarters for RWE Space AG, Essen.

Ms Carolyn Whitzman is the founder and a partner of Safe Cities Collaborative and is an international expert in human behaviour as it relates to urban design.

Prof Lyndsay Neilson is Secretary of the Department of Infrastructure Victoria, previously CEO National Capital Planning Authority and responsible for the Australian Governments Better Cities Program.

Prof Catherin Bull of The University of Melbourne has a particular expertise in the relationship between theory and practice in Australian landscape architecture and urban design.

Mr Richard Keating a principal of Keating/Khang is a practitioner whose lifetime specialty has been in high rise/high density development in the USA and Asia.

Mr Bill Corker of Denton Corker Marshall a Melbourne firm working internationally in the development of major public buildings and urban infrastructure.

Mr Rocco Bressi of Bovis Lend Lease was the structural designer responsible for the recently completed Aurora Place Development in Sydney designed by Renzo Piano.

Mr Norman Kurtz of Flack+Kurtz has lead his company in the development of innovative engineering design technology and the globalisation of building system technology.

Sir Duncan Michael Chairman of Ove Arup & Partners is a renowned structural engineer involved with innovative engineering design of major structures around the world.

Mr Robert Solomon is the Chief Building Fire Protection Engineer at the National Fire Protection Association USA.

Mr Jon D Magnusson, Chairman / CEO of Skilling Ward Magnusson Barkshire and an expert in the design of steel structures in all seismic and wind zones will discuss the state of the art in steel construction.

Mr George Schipporeit Associate Professor in Architecture at the prestigious Illinois Institute of Technology in the heart of Chicago, a famous high rise laboratory.

Ms Hazel Wong of Norr Architects responsible for the design of the futurist architecture of the Emirates Towers Project, Dubai.

Mr Mahadev Raman of Ove Arup & Partners specialises in energy efficiency and has pioneered the use of sophisticated analytical techniques in low energy design.

Mr Massimo Colomban CEO Permasteelisa is a proponent of blue technology, sustainable architecture and the integration of structure and building services.

Mr Charles Landry of Comedia Consultancy is an international authority on the future of cities and the creative use of culture in urban revitalisation.

Mr Joseph Konvitz is head of the Territorial Development Policies and Prospects Division of the OECD responsible for projects including cities and the global economy, sustainable urban development, distressed urban areas, policies for spatial management and future studies.

Prof Dr Abdalla Abdelaziz Attia of Ain Shams University Cairo will address development in the Cairo - Alexandria conurbation.

Prof Peter Spearritt of Monash University specialises in Australian History and has written extensively on the cultural impact both on and of the physical reality of our cities.

Mr William (Bill) Baker is renowned for his engineering of building systems innovations for high rise towers, long span roofs and special structures.

Mr Robert Gottliebson is an experienced Australian journalist specialising in predictive human behaviour related to economic policy development.

Dr Peter Irwin, President of RWDI Inc, is a leading wind engineer who specialises in wind tunnel testing, building instrumentation and damping systems for tall buildings.

The Hon John Thwaites is the Deputy Premier, Minister for Planning and Minister for Health in the State of Victoria, Australia and responsible for urban development policy and regulation.

Mr Jamie Carpenter, one of North America's leading artists. Best known for his work incorporating glass art in architecture.

Mr John Tabart is the CEO Docklands Authority Melbourne and currently responsible for a $5B high density development program on 220 hectares of prime land between the city and the waterfront.

Mr Pun-Chung Chan of the Hong Kong Department of Planning is responsible for urban renewal and new town development in the SAR.

Mr Will Alsop of Alsop & Stormer Architects is best known for his innovative contributions to new development in established cities around the world and is currently working in Melbourne with specific urban design issues.

Mr Sean Chaio of EDAW Earthasia has extensive international experience in planning and urban development, best known for his work in south east Asia.

Mr Jim Goettsch of Lohan Associates is a leading design architect in North America and China. Mr. Goettsch was the lead designer on two of the tallest office building projects to be constructed in North America in the last 10 years.

Dr Peter Ellyard is a futurist and strategic analyst who works with organisations to help plan for both 'thrival' and 'thrivability' in the twenty first century.

Mr Paul Jerome is a Deputy Secretary with the Department of Infrastructure Victoria responsible for policy development relating to the social impact of new development on the community.

Mr Ro Shroff of Callison Architects specialises in the planning and design of retail-entertainment projects world-wide that provide a particular focus of many urban centres.

Mr Raymond Wong Wai Man of the City University of Hong Kong is an active researcher in the construction of tall buildings, heavy structures and industrialised construction systems.

Prof W Melbourne of Monash University is a recognised world expert on wind engineering particularly related to high rise buildings in the urban habitat.

Prof Graham Hutchinson of the University of Melbourne is a recognised world expert in earthquake engineering especially related to tall buildings in intraplate seismic regions.

Dr-ing Irene-von Ofen, president of the International Federation for Housing and Planning. She brings a European perspective to the analysis of the current status of cities.

Mr Jong Soung Kimm of SAC International Ltd is a leading Korean architect with an award winning international practice and academic limks to the USA.

Mr Paul Morell of Davis Langdon & Everest UK, an international group of chartered quantity surveyors specialising in global procurement issues.

Mr Fred Clarke of Caesar Pelli & Associates is the managing partner of this world renowned firm responsible for designs such as the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

Mr Ken Muller of Otis Elevator Co has wide experience in vertical transportation systems for tall buildings and specifically with the transportation requirements of landmark or monumental building proposals.

Dr Harry Blutstein of the Environmental Protection Authority Victoria is an expert in the development of waste management policy and its implementation.

Dr Werner Sobek of Stuttgart University specialises in facade technology especially for tall buildings relating to energy generation and insulation.

Dr John Nutt is senior design engineer with Ove Arup and Partners Australia known best for original and unique design solutions for difficult design solutions.

Mr Nicholas E. Billotti President and CEO Turner Steiner International, one of the world's leading construction firms, is an internationally recognised industry spokesman.

Mr Dennis Corke is immediate past Chairman of Rider Hunt Australia now recently merged with Gardiner & Theobald and has international experience in cost planning and management.

Dr Kenneth Yeang principal of T.R. Hamzah & Yeang Sdn Bhd is well known for his world leadership in ecological design for tall building especially in tropical areas.

Mr Mike Haysler of Hyder Consulting Sydney responsible for the design and delivery of the recently completed City Group Tower, a turn key project delivered together with Multiplex Constructions.

Mr Peter Pran is a design principal of NBBJ architecture design and planning renowned for his innovative designs which introduce a new dynamism to architecture.

Rev Tim Costello has a lifetime commitment to social justice issues and is an outspoken commentator on the outcome of economically inspired change in the community.

Mr Dennis Poon of Thornton-Tomasetti Engineers will present the Plaza 66 Project in Shanghai including a valued story on the technical challenges.

Emeritus Prof Len Stevens is a recognised world expert engineer and a specialist in the development of structural design codes.
