Program Overview

Major themes of the Congress will include the global burden of stroke, organization of stroke services, primary and secondary prevention of stroke, recent developments in acute stroke therapy, advances in magnetic resonance imaging in stroke, brain recovery and neurorehabilitation. Clinical controversies will include the use of heparin in stroke and the place of angioplasty versus endarterectomy. Outstanding Scientific Program and International Advisory Committees are facilitating the scientific and educational infrastructure for the Congress.

With the help of the Aussie Wacky Boys, the Head Drover will muster guests to experience the sights and sounds of the Australian bush. Listen to the serenade of an authentic 'gum leaf' player while specially prepared Australian food and local wines are served.
