On behalf of the Board of Directors of the International Society for the Investigation of Stress we invite you to join us for the 6th World Congress on Stress, in Vienna, Austria from 11 to 13 October 2007.
Following on the themes of the previous successful World Congresses held in Bethesda, USA (1994), Melbourne, Australia (1999), Dublin, Ireland (2000), Edinburgh, Scotland (2002) and London, UK (2004), the 6th World Congress on Stress is scheduled for the days preceding the 20th European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Congress also being held in Vienna (13-17 October 2007). The program is exciting, take a closer look!
This will once again enable colleagues to take part in both meetings. The unique feature of this and the past five Congresses is the integration of the clinical aspects and basic scientific mechanisms of stress. In particular the meeting aims to further understanding of the underlying biological processes of stress, their role in many clinical disorders and to enhance our understanding of the management of stress and related disorders.
The 6th World Congress on Stress will have a similar structure to previous meetings, with invited Keynote Addresses, parallel sessions for clinical and basic sciences symposia and poster presentations of relevant research. We hope you will join us in the beautiful and cultured city of Vienna for a truly exciting meeting on this topic of growing interest and concern.
