Introduction Scientific Program
We are proud to offer an exciting program in obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound which features a large faculty of invited speakers who have had a dominant role in shaping our specialty. We are also happy to present a new format to this year's program. In attending this World Congress most of you will be looking for a balance of opportunity: to update your existing knowledge, and to learn about some of the hottest new research topics of the day. However this balance will be different for each of our delegates and our program responds to this by offering a 'streamed' approach to the most important topics in both obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound. You will see non-plenary sessions separated into 'cutting edge' and 'state of the art' sessions. The cutting edge sessions have been designed to focus purely on hot topics and new research presentations, while the state of the art sessions provide the equally valuable, and always popular, comprehensive updates in key areas of advanced level obstetrical or gynecological ultrasound. Whilst most of you will wish to experience a mix of these streams throughout the Congress, the State of the Art sessions have been designed so that it is also possible to complete the full ISUOG Advanced Course in either Obstetrical or Gynecological Ultrasound during the Congress. If you wish to follow one of these courses specifically and would like your attendance certificate to reflect this, you will need to indicate this on your registration form and further details will be sent to you. The meeting will highlight audience participation and new developments. Audience participation will be facilitated by 'Meet the Professor' sessions - these will be available on our Website from the 1st June - early bookings are recommended as these sessions have limited numbers. In addition, an electronic audience voting system will be used in selected lectures. Pre and post conference courses have been designed to allow registrants with specific interests to pursue them in more depth. Some of these will have limited numbers so early registration is recommended. We are particularly indebted to our invited speakers who freely give their own time and come to our meeting at their own expense.Lachlan de Crespigny Scientific Convenor
