This meeting is being held under the auspices of the International Society on Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis and will be taking place in Melbourne Australia, from March 21-25, 2004.

This congress will provide a forum for those who work in the area of Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis to showcase their work, exchange ideas and communicate current developments and advancements. The congress will contain Plenary Lectures, State of the Art Lectures and Symposia that will address both basic and clinical aspects of Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis in the contexts of cardiovascular disease (including diabetes and obesity), thrombolysis, vascular biology, cell adhesion, angiogenesis, cancer metastasis, gene regulation and neurobiology. This year, we have invited our colleagues from the Asia-Pacific Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (APCTH) to participate in the ISFP2004 Congress and we are pleased to announce that a special session has been devoted for this purpose. We will also be having a session devoted to D-dimer diagnostics in clinical practice, and a dedicated session on new developments in Thrombolytic therapy.
