Invitation from the Congress Chair

It is a great pleasure and honour for us to host the 13^th International Congress on Oral Pathology and Medicine. It is an opportunity to invite you to share not only the richness of Australia and New Zealand but the opportunity to learn from recognised international and national authorities in our chosen areas of expertise. The congress theme, Oral Pathology at the Molecular Cutting Edge, is the strongest statement we could find to define what Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine represent and this is how we have planned the congress. The ideals of the IAOP are a paramount consideration in presenting this congress.

They challenge our profession and are clearly altruistic. The congress is another opportunity to fulfil and enhance these ideals and to ensure that expertise and experience are shared with both developed and developing countries. Congresses are many things to different people and it is a duty of the organising committee to ensure that all tastes are catered for. Bring your family and experience both the exhilaration of science blended with the friendly, easy hospitality of Australia. Enhance your knowledge of pathology and medicine and then let us share a little of our beautiful country with you before you return home.

This is the first time an IAOP congress has been hosted in Australia but the successful precedent of two international IADR meetings makes us old hands. It takes a lot of enthusiasm to undertake that type of meeting! Brisbane has been selected from the Australian and New Zealand region to host this meeting and our expertise, hospitality and beautiful weather in this subtropical city will cover your scientific needs and cater for your other senses as well.
