 Kuopio Epilepsy Centre, Finland Professor Reetta Kälviäinen acts as the Director of Kuopio Epilepsy Centre at the Kuopio University Hospital as well as Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at the Department of Neuroscience and Neurology at the Kuopio University in Kuopio, Finland. Professor Kälviäinen's special research interest is clinical epileptology including the prognostic factors of newly diagnosed epilepsy, the possible progressive nature of the epileptic process as well as cognitive functions and neuroimaging in epilepsy. These aspects of scientific projects are combined with therapeutic neuropharmacological interventions. Professor Kälviäinen acts as the director in the epilepsy surgery program of the Kuopio University Hospital.
 Singapore General Hospital, Singapore Dr Lim is Senior Consultant Neurologist at National Neuroscience Institute and Clinical Associate Professor at National University of Singapore. Dr Lim is Chairman of the Commission of the Asian Oceanian Affairs of the International League Against Epilepsy and an active member of the Asian Epilepsy Academy. Dr Lim has organised several epilepsy/EEG teaching courses and initiated an EEG Certification Examination in Asia. Dr Lim now co-chairs the International Organising Committee and Scientific Advisory Committee of the 27th International Epilepsy Congress to be held in Singapore in 2007. Dr Lim is President of the College of Physicians, Singapore and the ASEAN Neurological Association.
 Miami Children's Hospital, USA Ms Pat Dean is Clinical Coordinator of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Centre at Miami Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. Ms Dean received her BS in Nursing from Downstate Medical Centre and her Masters of Nursing at the University of Miami. Ms Dean is nationally recognised for her work with children with epilepsy and has been involved with the consumer side of epilepsy on local, state, and national levels. Ms Dean is on the Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of America and President of the Epilepsy Foundation of South Florida. Ms Dean is the recipient of the Medical Services Award from the Epilepsy Foundation of South Florida and the Volunteer of the Year from the national organisation. Ms Dean served on the Governor's Task Force on Epilepsy and is a highly sought-after lecturer and has published numerous articles. Ms Dean's research interests are on the antecedents of developmental pathology in intractable epilepsy and self-management skills in epilepsy.
