ISAPS International Biennial Congress comes to Melbourne

In the first week after the summer break we are pleased to announce that ICMS has been appointed to assist the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) Congress at the MECC in Melbourne 9-13 February 2008. The Biennial Congress will attract 1000 of the world's best Plastic Surgeons to present and discuss emerging techniques with their colleagues from over 60 countries. In signing the contract today, the ISAPS President Dr Bryan Mendelson told the Managing Director of ICMS, Mr Barrie Markey that it was a clear cut choice in the decision to appoint ICMS as their PCO.

ICMS assists with ISSSI International bid win for Australia and Cairns

ICMS had the pleasure in working with the Australian Society of Antimicrobials in winning for Australia the 13th International Symposium on Staphylocci & Staphylococcal Infections. The bid was placed at the previous meeting held in The Netherlands. The ISSSI meeting will attract 500 of the leading researchers in Staphyloccal Infections. After due consideration and site inspections, the President of ASA Dr Keryn Christiansen and Treasurer Dr Geoffrey Coombes chose Cairns as the venue for the Symposium. ICMS was on hand from the bid concept through to assisting ASA with their successful bid.

Barrie J. Markey recognised for Outstanding Industry Contribution to Meetings & Events Australia

Last night at an elegant dinner held at Carousel, one of the most beautifully located and iconic venues in Melbourne, Barrie Markey, Managing Director of ICMS was presented with the Meetings and Events Australia (MEA), Victorian Branch award for Most Outstanding Contribution to the Meetings Industry. Mr Leigh Harry, CEO of the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, presented Barrie Markey with this prestigious and well deserved award. An elated and very surprised Barrie Markey said, “I am honoured to be recognised in such a manner by my peers and am delighted that all of our hard work and passion for excellence has been recognised. My dedicated family, both genetic and generic are very proud to be part of the ICMS team and their efforts have contributed greatly to the company's performance and reputation.”
