Sandalford Winery Visit

Sandalford Winery Tour

The Sandalford Experience operates three times daily 11am, 2pm and 3pm for approximately 1¼
hours duration. To introduce the tour, a custom designed theatrette gives visitors an overview of
Sandalford's history and vineyards. Then from overhead suspended walkways and platforms,
visitors will be able to experience a 'behind the scenes' tour of the operational winery, including
red and white red fermentation areas, crushing, pressing, the laboratory and oak storage.
Following the tour, we conduct wine tasting but this is no ordinary tasting, we go back to basics
and teach how to evaluate wine. Guests go through all the assessment points, of colour, nose
and palate. Each guest will be given a wine education kit and a Sandalford Tasting glass. This
concludes with a tasting of an aged fortified straight from the oak barrel. Minimum of 6 persons
required.
