Invitation from the Conference Chair

We are all increasingly having to do more with less. Fortunately Australians are already renowned for their ingenuity and resourcefulness. However as a small nation in a fiercely competitive global economy we cannot rest on our laurels or we will simply slide out backwards. We have to do things smarter and now more than ever this means we need smart solutions.

It is through conferences like CHEMECA 2005 where our specialised skills, our inventiveness and our ability to think outside the square can be put on show. Where the sharing of our ideas and individual experiences can catalyse our performance and where our collective focus can help generate those smart solutions.

So on behalf of the CHEMECA 2005 Organising Committee let me extend our warmest invitation to everyone who directly or indirectly has a stake in the success of our chemical, biochemical and resource industries to attend CHEMECA 2005. We feel that this is a MUST for everyone who has to do more with less and wants to do it smarter.
