Toyota Australia Sportivo

The Sportivo Coupe introduces near horizon concepts and technologies that demonstrate Toyota Australia's Melbourne-based design, engineering and prototyping capabilities.

Its creation included input from 14 to 18 year-olds, providing a unique insight into the personal mobility priorities of the next generation of car buyers.

The vehicle has been presented to Toyota Japan design staff. "This presentation was very important to Toyota Australia from a design and engineering point of view because no Toyota facility outside Japan has the capability to develop a complete concept car like this," Toyota Style Australia Manager Paul Beranger said.

"It was another opportuity for us to showcase the capabilities of the Australian operation to Japan. We demonstrated that Toyota Motor Corporation Australia has the capability to create a fully functional and researched vehicle to global standard, such that we can be considered and involved in future research programs with Toyota Motor Corporation Japan."
