    TECHNICAL TOUR 1 - Wavelength

    Spend the day starting with a picturesque coach drive up the North Queensland Coastline from Cairns to Port Douglas: one of the best short coastal drives in Queensland. On the way you will observe the extensive revetment works completed by Main Roads to stabilise recent landslides of the road cuttings while marvelling at the scenery of the coastline. On arrival in Port Douglas, you will be ushered to the magnificent vessel "Wavelength" which will take you to three breathtaking exclusive sites on the Great Barrier Reef. This experience will expose you to visual experiences helped with information from an onboard Marine Biologist. Marine Park Management success will be obvious to all. This tour is especially recommended for the young professionals and those more mature and energetic delegates.

    We suggest you complete the day with a well-earned relaxing drink at Mondo's Cairns at the Young Professionals and Wise Ones Cocktail Party!

    TECHNICAL TOUR 2 - Frankland Islands Cruise and Dive

    The day begins with a leisurely cruise down the magnificent Mulgrave River. Learn about the area's unique Flora and Fauna while taking in the beauty of the surrounding rainforest clad hills. At the mouth of the river, the Frankland Islands slowly come into view and it is only short open water crossing to your destination for the day. Frankland Islands is the perfect location to discover the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef with a certified or introductory dive (optional extra) or snorkellers can drift over an amazing variety of corals and marine life that inhabit the area. The guided snorkelling tour offers a chance to discover and interact with the reef under the guidance of the marine naturalists.

    Tour 2 - REEF FISHING EX CAIRNS

    One of Cairn's most popular and experienced Reef Fishing Vessels, Aqua-Cat will depart for the rich waters of the Great Barrier Reef. Specialising in general reef fishing (bottom bouncing) using heavy hand lines which is the most effective method of extracting the prized eating fish from their coral homes.

    Uniquely surrounded by the Mount Whitfield National Park and is immediately adjacent to the magnificent Botanic Gardens, Whitfield House is one of Cairn 's most prestigious establishments with a colorful history and spectacular gardens. Enjoy a delicious breakfast before taking time to enjoy the beauty of the Cairns Botanical Gardens.

    PROGRAM 2 - Rainforest Habitat and Port Douglas

    Head to Port Douglas for a walk along the famous Four Mile Beach or shopping in the boutiques. From here we take a visit to Mossman Gorge to marvel at the beauty of the Gorge. It is set in some of the best rainforest in North Queensland, with good walking tracks and great swimming holes. Mossman Gorge is one of the most accessible places to really experience what a rainforest is like. Then it's off to a leader in its field of wildlife immersion exhibits, the award winning Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary will provide you with a chance to observe up close and personal a huge range of flora and fauna. Take an informative guided tour, where experienced guides will introduce you to the special interdependence that the wildlife shares with the Wet Tropics region. A tempting buffet lunch will be served before the return journey back to Cairns.

    PROGRAM 3 - Fitzroy Island

    Fitzroy Island is located only 45 mintute from Cairns and yet it is one of the most unspoilt islands adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef. The Island has changed little since being named by Lt James Cook during his voyage of discovery back in 1770. Fitzroy Island is one of 600 Continental or High islands on the Great Barrier Reef which means it used to be part of the mainland before rising waters separated this tranquil paradise. Over time a fringing coral reef surrounded the island, providing a sheltered home for a variety of fish and coral species.. Enjoy almost 3 1/2 hours on the island, enjoying all the resort's facilities (including pool, bar and optional activities). A great BBQ Lunch and a glass bottom boat tour.

    Time: Departs Daily from Cairns 10:30 - 15:00
    Departing: Boarding commences 10:00 at Marlin Marina, Cairns
