Cairns Convention Centre

The Cairns Convention Centre is a world class meetings venue in the tropical paradise of Cairns, fringed by the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage Rainforest. Cairns is the very heart of the Asia Pacific region and its International Airport makes it the most convenient of convention locations.

The Cairns Convention Centre is a purpose built, award-winning meeting facility. Not only is it the most innovative, flexible and functional centre of its kind, it is the most stunning – both inside and out. And for the second consecutive year, was ranked in the top five in the ‘World Best Convention Centre of the Year’ survey.

The Centre is just minutes walking distance from a wide range of hotels, excellent seven day shopping, a wide variety of top class restaurants, arts and crafts markets, galleries and a host of nightly entertainment venues.

Cairns

About 130,000 people live in Cairns – and they all love it. This is Far North Queensland and the city of Cairns occupies the choice position on the sunny coast between the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea. Inland to the west is the Atherton Tableland – a green rolling wilderness of tropical rain forests and lush valleys. On the other side, the east – there’s nothing but the magnificent Pacific Ocean and the Great Barrier Reef..

Living in Cairns is living in nature (with a swag of energy-charged, adrenaline filled activities to keep the most active in check). In and around town you can easily get out amongst it all with diving, surfing, bungee jumping, off-roading, white water rafting and an adventurer’s catalogue of other unique pursuits. With so many fantastic natural features to the area, the possibilities are endless. But if crashing through waves or jumping off cliffs sound too energetic for you, bushwalking or bird watching may be our thing – whatever, you’ll find something to make you happy in the natural and magical setting of Cairns.

In this part of Queensland, you’re guaranteed a warm day and life in the tropics is slow-paced and easy going. The locals wouldn’t want you to rush about while you’re here – they’ll just want you to take it all in and enjoy yourself.

Cairns has always been a popular holiday spot for Australians and visitors. Classy resorts and hotels, sit beside budget camping grounds and caravan parks and provide every sort of accommodation option. In holiday season, Cairns comes alive in a carnival atmosphere of family fun, summer escapism and the undisputed pleasure of pure holiday magic. The whole town is just like that.

Sitting at the water’s edge, contemplating the day’s activities or dining in one of the many restaurants closes a perfect day in Cairns. Spending time here will bring you back closer to reality. You’ll find a new meaning to ‘slowing down’ and a new reason to visit again.

It’s not the sort of place you want to hurry about in and certainly not the sort of place you’re you’ll hurry to leave.
