Co-Convenors Invitation
We are honoured to convene the 36th ASUM Annual Scientific Meeting in Melbourne and cordially invite you to attend this meeting. Melbourne is one of the most liveable cities in the world and is the heart of beautiful, compact state of Victoria known as the "Garden State". Victoria has many outstanding attractions from spectacular mountains and coastal scenery, to world class wineries. Melbourne is one of the world's restaurant capitals, boasting over 4500 restaurants, reflecting the vast multicultural background of the city. The meeting will be held at the state of the art Melbourne Convention Centre. The venue is fully equipped with all the latest technology for computer based presentations. Situated on the banks of the Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne, the Melbourne Convention Centre is within easy walking distance of hundreds of restaurants and many hotels and attractions. We have put together a very comprehensive, exciting and diverse scientific program with contributions from renowned international speakers complemented by well-known keynote Australian and New Zealand speakers. The Skills Development Workshop day will be on Sunday rather than on Thursday to make it easier for participants to attend. The social program will enable registrants to enjoy multicultural Melbourne in beautiful springtime, complemented by an exciting gala Dinner on Saturday night. We invite you to submit your current work for presentation as either an oral or poster presentation during the meeting. For the first time you will have the opportunity to present your poster as a PowerPoint presentation. We are confident that it will be a very successful and rewarding meeting for all registrants who attend. Please write the dates in your diary and on behalf of the organising committee we look very much forward to seeing you at the meeting.
