Invitation to the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting for ASUM 2002
Please accept a warm invitation from the ASUM 2002 organising committee to join us on the Gold Coast for the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting.All those involved with the planning are excited about the opportunities the venue has to offer registrants from the excellent conference facilities provided by Conrad Jupiters to the many and varied leisure activities on the Gold Coast and in the hinterland.
An excellent faculty of local and international speakers will cover a full range of topics including ergonomics issues, with "hands on" opportunities available on the Skills Day and the Nuchal Translucency Course on Thursday 19th September and also in the theatrettes provided by our major sponsors.
The Cocktail Party will be the more formal occasion of the meeting with the Dinner being much more informal than usual with some very different and exciting entertainment. The venue for the Dinner caters very well for children of all ages, so when you register, think about bringing the family along for a holiday and registering them all for the Dinner.
We hope to see a record number of you in Queensland.

Message from the President of ASUM
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting for ASUM. We have an interesting program with strong scientific, clinical and social programs organised by a very dedicated team in the local organising committee. This year, ASUM is again hosting an Asia Link session at the Gold Coast to promote the objectives of the ASUM Asia Link Program of providing a unique opportunity for all involved to develop mutually beneficial clinical, scientific and educational activities in our geographic region. ASUM has a common goal with the Asia-Pacific societies in establishing high standards of safe and effective use of diagnostic ultrasound in medicine. I hope to see as many delegates in Australia, New Zealand and overseas take this opportunity to attend the meeting and join your ultrasound colleagues from all over the world on the beautiful Gold Coast, Queensland.
