INVITATION TO ATTEND

Dear Colleague,

The Organising Committee for the Australasian Structural Engineering Conference has chosen the Gold Coast and the Marriott Hotel as the venue for our meeting in April/May 2001.

We were originally scheduled to meet in 2000 but in view of the momentous events taking place in Sydney - the Olympics Games - and clashes with other similar engineering events we decided to delay our meeting until early in 2001.

This has given us a good lead time to plan carefully an interesting and stimulating technical program which we hope will induce you to contribute and also entice you to attend.
