IDPSIG 1st Annual Meeting
Infectious Diseases Pharmacists Special Interest Group (IDPSIG) 1st Annual Meeting _______________________________>> Cumberland Lorne Resort, Lorne Victoria Saturday 26th - Sunday 27th February 2005 It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the "Infectious Diseases Pharmacists Special Interest Group, 1st Annual Meeting". This national meeting is sponsored by the Australian Society for Antimicrobials and the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia and will be held at the Cumberland Lorne Resort, Lorne, Victoria Australia, 26th to 27th February. This is also a satellite meeting of Antimicrobials 2005, Australian Society for Antimicrobials 6th Annual Scientific Meeting. The goal of this conference is to bring together pharmacists from around Australia who have a shared general interest in infectious diseases. Speakers will include a range of pharmacists and clinicians from around Australia engaged in infectious diseases practice and research. The four symposia (Principles of Treating Infectious Diseases, Anti-infective Dosing and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Microbiology Basics and Resistance Issues and Pharmacist Opportunities in Infectious Diseases) are designed to be of the highest relevance to practice and cater for all degrees of experience. Another very important aim of this conference is to provide an environment that will encourage communication and exchange of ideas that may lead to enhanced collaborations between pharmacists and others practicing and researching in the infectious diseases arena. Registrants will be able to interact with other professionals during the symposia. As further incentive to participate and contribute to multi-disciplinary discussions at Antimicrobials 2005, registration fees to the Infectious Diseases Pharmacists Special interest Group, 1st Annual Meeting will be waived to those who register for the Antimicrobials 2005. We encourage you to forward this email to colleagues who you think might be interested in this conference and Antimicrobials 2005. On behalf of the organizers, we are looking forward to your participation in this conference and your input in stimulating discussions during the conference. The end of summer is an excellent time to visit Lorne, the Gateway to the Great Ocean Road. Sincerely yours, Sharmila Melvani, and Simone Taylor Austin Health, Melbourne Craig Rayner Facility for Anti-Infective Drug Development and Innovation, Victorian College of Pharmacy, Monash University, Melbourne
