These functions include promoting, protecting, developing, maintaining and improving health and well-being of the people of NSW, while considering the needs of the state and the fi nances and resources available. ![]() Australian Council for Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC)Conference Partner The Australian Council for Safety and Quality in Health Care, established by Australian Health Ministers in 2000, is leading national efforts to improve patient safety and the quality of health care provision in Australia. Council initiatives are supported by all jurisdictions and focussed on supporting health care workers to deliver safer patient care, improving data and information for safer care, involving consumers in health care safety, redesigning safer systems of care and raising understanding of health care safety.
